Description
ABC® Dissecting Electrodes
The simple to use ABC® Dissecting Electrodes attach to a CONMED ABC® handpiece to convert Argon Beam Coagulation to Argon Beam Dissect. By forcing argon gas over an electrode in contact or non-contact mode, ABC® Dissecting Electrodes may provide reduced smoke in the surgical field. Also, less tissue damage may occur, as Argon gas flowing over the dissection may help to cool tissue at the perimeter of the intended cut.
ABC Technology in contact mode allows surgeons to dissect while employing the benefits of Argon Beam Coagulation. Surgeons can also continue to use ABC in non-contact mode simply by pulling the ABC Dissecting Electrodes away from tissue.
Simple to use, ABC Dissecting Electrodes attach to a CONMED ABC handpiece to convert from Argon Beam Coagulation to Argon Beam Dissect. By forcing argon gas over an electrode in contact or non-contact mode, ABC Dissecting Electrodes may provide the following benefits for surgical procedures.
Advantages:
- Reduced Smoke from Surgical Field – Argon gas used with ABC® Dissecting Electrodes carries surgical smoke away from the field-of-view.
- Less Tissue Damage – Argon gas flowing over the dissection may help to cool tissue at the perimeter of the intended cut. The latter is believed to lower the risk of post-operative infections.
- Clean Cut Hemostasis – ABC® Dissecting Electrodes combine the benefits of argon gas with a tungsten electrode. This combination of electrosurgical modality provides a blend of cut and coagulation effects that may result in a cleaner cut with hemostasis.
Configuration: ABC Dissecting Blade Electrode converts Argon Beam Coagulation to Argon Beam Dissect
